Professor Daniel Rolph Schneider, the head of the Chair of Energy and Power Enginnering has participated in the second international summit Energy Science and Technology (ISEST2018) held in Xi’an, China 17-18 January, dedicated to expansion of the University Alliance of the Silk Road and the Energy Sub-Alliance (ESA-UASR).
The summit gathered 500 scientists and researchers from more than 60 universities. The chair was academy member prof. Wenquan Tao (Xi’an Jiaotong University). At the opening session he stressed the importance of science and technology development in the field of energy management.
Prof. Schneider has also participated in the first committee meeting of the Energy Sub-Alliance, joining the representatives from 59 universities and 20 countries, where he signed the joining agreement for the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture. The Faculty was also chosen as one of the 10 permanent executive members:

Prof. Schneider also gave a presentation in session Energy Economics and Policy entitled Energy recovery of waste (and waste materials) as a part of the circular economy of urban environments.
