Zagreb Energy Week

During the past week, members and students of the Department have participated at the 9th Zagreb Energy Week. The objective of the Energy Week is to develop consciousness and include the citizens of Zagreb into the battle against climate change.

On Monday at the Open door days: Energy management on FER as a part of a Round table discussion: Democratization and decentralization of the power sector, assistant professor Goran Krajačić had a presentation Solarization of the Republic of Croatia – an opportunity we mustn’t miss.

At the expert forum We have the solutions – visions of new generations for green development, student Matej Paranos presented his work entitled Hydrogen for a cleaner city transport, supervised by assistant professor Ankica Kovač. Petar Filipović, who recently graduated, presented the topic Polymer solar collector – an alternative to the classic flat plate collector, supervisor is associate professor Damir Dović.

On Thursday as a part of the FSB Open door days, renewable energy sources were demonstrated in the Power engineering laboratory: hydrogen powered bicycle, hydrogen production as an alternative fuel, fuel cells, photovoltaic systems and small wind turbines.
